About Hunter Fouts - Founder & Head Guide
Born and raised in Georgia, Hunter has spent his life fly fishing in North Georgia. In 2022, he graduated from the Montana Fishing Guide School in Big Sky, Montana, training under world-class instructors. From there, he guided wade and float trips for distinguished guests at the renowned Brush Creek Ranch on the North Platte River in Wyoming. Before opening up his own destination, he guided trophy fly fishing on the Soque River.
In 2024, Hunter returned home to fulfill his lifelong dream—launching Headwaters Fly Fishing. His passion for fly fishing, deep knowledge of the local waters, and commitment to providing an unforgettable experience set him apart as a premier guide in North Georgia.
When he's not on the river, Hunter enjoys playing guitar and spending time with his beloved dog, Max.
